Cast Vinyl
Cast vinyl is made up of high quality vinyl resin, organic pigments, solvents and stabilizers. This vinyl is less likely to shrink in outdoor usage and typically lasts for 5 to 7 years depending on your use. Using this vinyl on vehicles and applications makes it great for outdoor use.
Calendared Vinyl
Calendared vinyl is made up of pellets of vinyl along with colors and modifiers which are then ground together. This vinyl typically lasts for 3 to 5 years depending on your use. For signs that require resurfacing on a regular basis, this vinyl offers easier removal. It also offers a cost effective solution due to huge production volumes.
Translucent
Vinyl
Translucent vinyl is a cast vinyl used in backlit signs such as light boxes. The color consistency, non-glare surface, and color brightness of the translucent vinyl provides a normal color when not illuminated but when backlit adds for greater visibility at night.
Reflective Vinyl
Reflective vinyl is a cast vinyl best known for its 24-hour advertising capabilities. The most common uses include fleet graphics, highway signs, and locations where night viewing and long distance visibility is required.
Metallic Vinyl
Metallic vinyl is a vinyl that creates the look of an actual metal (gold, silver, bronze). It accomplishes this by a mirror finished film consisting of polyester and various finishing products. Typical uses are for signs that offer a richer look and are for interior or short-term exterior uses.
Substrates
Aluminum
Aluminum is the longest lasting material for outdoor signage. It will not rust and is available in a range of sizes and colors, based on the manufacturer. Typical uses include real estate signs, directional signs, and any area where durability is a major factor.
Banners
Banners are available in many different colors, they are flame retardant and highly resistant to ripping and tearing. Uses include everyday signage, announcement, and retail sales signs.
Cardboard/Sho-card
Sho-card is a waterproof cardboard that can also be used as a dry-erase board. Uses include easel displays or cost effective presentations materials.
Coroplast
Coroplast is an inexpensive, lightweight corrugated plastic material used for mostly small, indoor signs, or
outdoor signs that are temporary. It comes in many different colors, and is easy to cut into different sizes. Use coroplast stakes and you have an instant yard or tournament sign.
Magnetics
Magnetics are weather resistant, color stable and can be cut into all shapes and sizes for outdoors or indoors. Great use is for car doors or for flexible advertising that can be moved from one location to another.
M.D.O. (Medium Density Overlay Plywood)
MDO is thick, durable, layered plywood. It has the ability to be cut into a variety of sizes and has a special coating to prevent warping and compliment ease of use for vinyl and adhesives Normal uses include job site signs, semi-permanent development signs and directional signs.
Acrylic
This Acrylic (Plexiglas) is a type of plastic that is formed and cut to make an interior sign. For office signs or a more regal appearance, the glossy and elegant appearance of acrylic works very well.
Polystyrene
Polystyrene offers a more inexpensive take on the plastic sign. It is a non-glare smooth plastic that is light weight and easy to transport. Signs that have to fit or contour to a carved surface are easily managed with polystyrene.
PVC
PVC is a rigid plastic board which is available in a variety of colors and is easily cut into different sizes and shapes. With its textured surface, it is a great fit for retail store directional signs and interior identification signs.
